Emotional Intelligence Program

The concept of emotional intelligence has brought new depth to the understanding of human intelligence. Emotional intelligence is a set of emotional and social skills that influence how we perceive, express ourselves, develop relationships, and use emotional information effectively. It  involves understanding oneself and others, relating to people, and adapting to cope with environmental demands. 

One’s emotional intelligence can change over time and can be developed in targeted areas.

Emotional Quotient Inventory (EQ-i®) and the EQ 360®

Our programs include the latest versions which yield more powerful insights than ever before. They bring you the most advanced and thoroughly researched measure of emotional intelligence in the assessment industry: the EQ-i® 2.0 and EQ 360® 2.0.

The EQ-i 2.0 measures the interaction between a person and the environment they operate in. 

The EQ-i 2.0 consists of 133 brief items using a five-point response scale. It takes approximately 25 to 30 minutes to complete the EQ‑i 2.0, but there are no imposed time limits. The EQ-i 2.0 is suitable for individuals 18 years of age and older. The assessment provides:

  • a total EI score,
  • five composite scale scores, and
  • fifteen subscale scores.

The EQ 360 2.0 (also known as multirater feedback or multisource feedback) measures the same emotional and social skills as the self report (EQ-i 2.0) but from an observer’s perspective. It is a performance evaluation method that provides an individual with the opportunity to receive feedback from his/her co-workers or colleagues (e.g., supervisor, co-workers, peers, direct reports).

Participants nominate who they would like to get feedback from when they complete their self-report. Raters then complete the EQ 360 2.0 online and results are tabulated simultaneously into one comprehensive report for the participant. Note that the EQ-i 2.0 must be completed prior to conducting the EQ 360 2.0 assessment.

By addressing these foundational themes, Nova Global’s training empowers individuals and teams to unlock their full potential, improve interpersonal dynamics, and navigate the complexities of the modern business landscape with confidence and expertise.

The Nova Profile – an innovative tool whose foundations are based on the DISC theory of William Marston, the work of Carl Jung on behavioral preferences, and the work of psychologist Eduard Spranger relating to value systems (motivations).

The Nova Profile highlights the innate nature of each individual – their natural style – as well as their adapted style, which is the manner they adopt in social contexts, providing insight into a person’s perceptions and dynamics when interacting with their environment. The gap between these styles highlights the aspects of their personality they modify the most. Ultimately, the tool exposes a person’s behavioral preferences, skills, psychological type, and motivations.

Participants complete a 20-minute multiple-choice questionnaire. A certified trainer then reviews and discusses the results with the participant, revealing their personality traits, motivators, talents, leadership style, preferences, and areas for development.
